Greg Lundy began learning guitar early in life. He began playing music in venues in Northern Ohio with the MidNite Express Band and opened shows for many major artists, Waylon Jennings, Earl Thomas Conley, T. Graham Brown, Bob Seger, Gordon Lightfoot and many more.... Greg moved back to Tennessee opened and co-owned a sound, lighting and booking company and produced concerts with artists such as T. Graham Brown, Doug Stone and C&C Music Factory. For a few years, he and his wife even tried their hand at the pizza business and owned and operated a pizza shop.
He began performing as a single artist (and sometimes duo) at the area lakes and on patios, which lead to the name "The Patio Pirate(s)." The Patio Pirate has progressed and stays continuously booked at area restaurant venues; although, he works full-time as a criminal private investigator, which he operates out of his company CSI-TN. He has also become a favorite for private parties and corporate functions.
The Patio Pirate was joined by his son "Chad " for a while until he got his wings and took off on his own as "Will Lundy." (willlundymusic on social media, etc.) He remains very proud of the young man and artist that Will has become.
He really enjoys collaborating with those who share his love and passion for music so you never know who may sit in.
He has been performing for 37-years and has performed well over 10,000 shows. The music it seems is in the blood and The Pirate has no intentions of slowing down. He hopes that although he did not make the "Big Time" in his younger years, that people will enjoy watching him perform and listening to his original songs for many more years to come.
The Patio Pirate keeps if fun and entertaining, one minute you are listening to Buffet and the next a great country song, then someone yells out "play me some Temptations" and there you go! He aims to sound as close to the original artists as possible so if they stumble onto his YouTube, Facebook or Twitter account, hopefully, they are impressed by what they hear. He also knows the importance of announcing the venues specials, upcoming entertainment schedule and reminds the patrons to be sure to tip their waitresses and bartenders. He always interacts with the crowd on and off the stage because he knows without them he would not be doing what he loves.
The sound is professionally done and no expense has been spared to make sure the show is sounding top notch. The Pirate has sound systems for small venues and up to 25,000 watts of concert touring sound for large or outdoor venues. So together let's "Pirate A Little Time Away" and have some fun! Arrggg!
